Odrayan draws on handloom traditions from across India. Our first collection begins where the founder's roots run deepest: Odisha — with Sambalpuri Ikat and Kotpad.
Sambalpuri Ikat
Before a single stitch is cut, the yarn is tie-dyed and resist-woven by hand — the pattern is planned into the thread itself, not printed on afterward. It is a technique that demands the weaver know the finished design before the first thread ever touches the loom. Every Odrayan Ikat fabric is sourced directly from weaver clusters near Bhubaneswar, Odisha, where this craft has been passed down for generations.
Kotpad
Woven in Koraput, Kotpad handloom takes its earthy rust, black, and cream not from a dye vat but from aul tree bark and madder root — a natural dyeing process that has defined this weave for centuries. Kotpad pieces are part of Odrayan's planned collections; photography and styles will be added here as they're finalized.
